Best Vax Vacuum

Which is the Best Vax Hoover?

A specialist in floor cleaning since its inception in 1979, Vax has established itself as the UK’s best-selling floorcare brand. Whilst Vax is probably best known for its popular upright vacuums, they also offer an extensive range of other vacuum types, including cylinder and cordless hoovers, as well as steam cleaners. With so many Vax vacuum cleaners to choose from, you may be wondering which is the best Vax hoover?

Whilst the answer to that question will come down to what suits your cleaning requirements the best, the Vax hoover reviews below will hopefully help you to identify the most suitable Vax for your needs.

Best Vax upright vacuums

Vax’s popular upright vacuums promise to deliver a constant powerful suction that will make cleaning carpets, hard floors and those difficult to reach places a breeze. Vax Air Lift

With the Air Lift, Vax promise the lightest corded lift-out cylinder available in the UK, and its multi-cyclonic technology guarantees a high-performing lift-out vacuum that has no loss of suction. With over 2 million units sold to date, it’s certainly a popular choice with households up and down the country. Weighing in at just 6.2kg, the Vax Air Lift has a compact design that makes it easy to move around the home. It effortlessly glides across both hard floors and carpets, so it’s a vacuum that can be used to clean the whole home or workspace. Versatile and powerful, the Vax Air Lift also comes complete with steerable technology, meaning navigating around obstacles and furniture is no longer a problem. Picking up stubborn dirt or pet hair is also made a formality thanks to the powerful turbo tool.

Vax Air Stretch

Like the Air Lift, the Vax Air Stretch is another multi-cyclonic and lightweight upright vacuum that promises high performance across both carpets and hard floors. However, what makes the Air Stretch stand out is its extra long 17 metre reach. The long cord and stretchable hose means areas that are typically difficult to reach and clean – such as a whole flight of stairs – are no longer a problem. Above the floor cleaning is also a breeze thanks to the 3-in-1 crevice, upholstery and dusting tool. At a weight of 5kg, the Air Stretch is slightly heavier than the Air Lift but is still very light for an upright vacuum cleaner, and is easy to lift up and down stairs. It’s also got a full size capacity (1.5L) bin which doesn’t need to be emptied on a regular basis.

Popular models from the Vax Air Stretch range include:

Vax Mach Air

The Vax Mach Air is a cheaper upright vacuum alternative to both the Air Lift and the Air Stretch. Like the Air Lift and Air Stretch, the Mach Air is a powerful and lightweight hoover that promises no loss of suction thanks to its multi-cyclonic technology. It’s also the same as the Air Lift and Air Stretch in terms of its 1.5L capacity. But it’s not quite as light as the Air Lift and also doesn’t have the same steering technology, whilst it doesn’t have the extra long hose that comes with the Air Stretch. That being said, if you want a no-frills powerful upright vacuum at a good price, you could do a lot worse than the Vax Mach Air.

With a long reach hose and extra long cord, you can clean large rooms and staircases without needing to constantly unplug the vacuum. With multi-cyclonic technology, the Air Reach has a powerful suction as the multiple cyclones separate dirt from the air giving you constant, powerful suction. Best Vax cordless vacuums

Vax’s cutting edge cordless vacuums allow you to clean your home without the need for plug sockets or cables. Vax’s lithium ion rechargeable batteries provide up to 45 minutes of cleaning time from a single charge, and guarantee no loss of suction.

In early 2020 Vax launched two brand new cordless vacuums to the market, in an effort to rival the likes of Dyson who are well-known for their powerful cordless vacuum range.

The Vax OnePWR Blade 4 and Vax OnePWR Blade 3 are the newcomers to the Vax cordless vacuum range. They are now Vax’s showpiece cordless vacuums ahead of their older models, which includes the Vax Blade 2 Max 40V, the Vax Blade 2 32V and the Vax Blade 32V.

There’s a number of different options in terms of Vax cordless hoovers. Here’s our review of the best Vax cordless vacuums.

Vax OneOWR Blade 4 Cordless

According to Vax, the OnePWR Blade 4 Cordless vacuum cleaner “outperforms the UK’s top 3 best-selling cordless vacuum cleaners”, giving Vax a significant new entrant into the UK cordless vacuum market. Powered by Vax’s revolutionary OnePWR 4.0Ah battery – which is easily replaceable unlike previous Vax cordless models – this hoover has an exceptional cleaning performance which – according to Vax – is on a par with the performance of the best corded upright vacuums. With a 45 minute run time once fully charged, you should easily be able to hoover your whole house in one go. The OnePWR Blade 4 takes three hours to be fully charged, but can be used when not fully charged if you need to do a quick clean. Vax promises no loss of suction even when the bin is full, as well as a lightweight and innovative design so that you can glide through your home in no time at all. With DustTracker LED headlights, a brushless motor and a 3 stage filtration technology, there’s plenty of extra features with the OnePWR Blade 4 that make it an appealing option when it comes to cordless vacuum cleaners.

The OnePWR Blade 3 is powered by the revolutionary OnePWR 3.0Ah battery, which is a newly interchangeable battery technology unlike Vax’s previous cordless models. With a specially designed floorhead the Vax Blade 3 provides a strong performance across multiple cleaning surfaces, and also has no loss of suction even when the bin is full. Like the Blade 4 the Blade 3 has DustTracker LED headlights, and also has an improved filtration system when compared to previous cordless Vax models. Like most Vax hoovers the Blade 2 Max is lightweight at just 3.1kg, helping it to effortlessly glide across surfaces as you clean. The handy ‘Boost Mode’ provides extra power when you need it, although the standard mode itself certainly packs a punch. As well as being cordless, the Blade 2 Max can be turned into a handheld cleaner in no time at all, which is perfect for when cleaning those more difficult spaces such as upholstery, staircases and cars.
